* Dad Displays

My fab dad keeps making me different displays for all my wares. The latest is this shutter jewelry display that has a kick stand & handle. I can take it & set it down anywhere. Love that. I bought the pink shutter @ the Arc in Tempe & it's just been hanging around for months.

After going to the button convention & seeing everything displayed so neatly on 9×12 boards, we decided to do the same. I bought a 10 foot sheet of foam core (sp) in the framing department of JoAnne's & they cut it down for me. He made a template out of graph paper for the holes & away we went. Holes punched with just the right Jake tool of course & we found gardern wire works better then bread bag twist ties for holding the buttons in place.

I love how easily I can see all the gi-normous buttons & people seemd to like how the charms & trinkets were displayed & priced on the boards. found the plate holders at a rummage sale & I think I'm going to paint them white or mellow yellow. The jewelry boards with elastic closures are handy to pick up & carry. He covered them in fabric we found in my closet & the wood was in Scott's shop.

Who knows what dad will come up with next but I'm sure I'll love it too.

  1. Leah the presentation and organization are right on track. It has been fun to watch this entire process. The individual buttons on the cardboard…perfect idea. Really helps people focus instead of sifting through all of the buttons ( but that is fun too!) Your Dad is a pretty amazing guy. I am so happy that he is around to help you. My guess he enjoys it too and you get to spend wonderful time making more memories.

    1. Kay you are right. You have witnessed the progession of displays. So love that you’ve been along for all the changes.
      Btw, I had your latest piece at the Pink Cacti Boutique & ladies were oohing & ahhing over it. It did turn out pretty cool.
      Thanks for all the supoport sister.
