* Medieval Buttons Are Totally Cool

I couldn’t resist taking a class on medieval buttons and how they were discovered. It was totally fascinating. It was presented by Janelle Giles . She has been collecting Buttons for over 40 years and she has a popular Facebook page called Button Central. Some time back Janelle was in Paris for work. She went outside on a break and .

* Revamping Jewelry

I think it’s exciting to revamp old treasures into something new. Often times clients have a collection of loose charms and broken bracelets loaded with treasures given to them or collected on travels. I like offering the service of repair and restyling.One client had me convert an uncomfortable necklace into a fun bracelet. I typically add a shiny new .

* 2 Milestones This Week

Guess what…we had two big Ruby Mae Jewelry milestones this week. 1st Milestone…Ruby Mae is now officially trademarked thru the US Department of Patents & Licenses. This was a 9 month process for me & I’m so glad I listened to my advisors & went for it. Someday when Macy’s or Nordstroms wants to buy my brand, I’ll be .

* Gift Giving Made Easy

My client Kay has figured out a way to save herself time & money.  Kay prefers to give a  sentimental gift for those in her social circle and rather then driving to Kohls or Target, shopping for an hour or scooping up a gift card, Kay simply calls me & tells me 3-5 things her recipient is interested in & .

* Two Surprises This Week

I’ve had two BIG surprises this week! The 1st came when I saw my photo spread in the August edition of Rock Thiz Magazine. They posted a teaser of it on their facebook homepage and I just happened to see it while scrolling on Facebook. Rock Thiz Magazine editor Lisa Snyder contacted me about being in her magazine back .

* Patriotic Trinkets

Do you have items like these lying around in your jewelry box or catch all drawers? I think they are charming and who knows where they originally came from. What is ironic is that I’ve been trying to buy items like these for patriotic bracelets and guess what, they must all be hidden in drawers and closets, they are very .

* Personalized Charms

Fun News!!! We are now offering personalized charms. My fantastic Dad, known to all as Jake, has taken on this new branch of Ruby Mae Jewelry. He likes making these charms & I love that we can offer them. The possibilities are endless. Graduation, christening, bridal, holiday, initials & numbers, children’s names …the list goes on & on. Wouldn’t it be fun to .

* My 1st Buttons 101 Class

I recently taught my first Buttons 101 Class & it was hosted @JAM, a boutique in old town Scottsdale. These lovely ladies came together & we made lots of cool buttons projects and they gave some away as gifts. I loved seeing what they wrote on the gift cards. I find it interesting to see the button combinations they picked. Also, I think .
